Her educational accomplishments include a CDA in Early Childhood Education and a certification in Bookkeeping. She has recently attained an Associate degree in Business Administrative Technology from Albany Technical College with a certification as a Business Administrative Specialist. She is working on her Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology. She is currently employed as an Admissions Assistant at Albany Technical College.
Evangelist Grimsley has always loved “church”, and she has loved to sing for as long as she can remember. Her recognition of her need to have Christ in her life began in her adolescent years. She was finally allowed to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at age 10, after asking repeatedly for permissions. She labored on the altar until she received the gift of the Holy Ghost at age 13. She began singing at an early age. By age 11, she began singing with her sisters in their group called, “The Voices of Hope”. She was later called to the Ministry of Praise at age 16. Although she was called to the ministry of Evangelism at age 18, she stood still until she made her call and election sure at age 21.
Under the leadership of Apostle D. G. Taylor, Sr., Evangelist Grimsley was ordained as an evangelist and appointed Assistant Pastor of the Temple of Refuge, Church of the Lord Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., Evangelistic Pentecostal Church by the Chief Apostle/Prophet Dr. S. D. James in 2002. Her responsibilities include bridging the gap while the pastor is performing pastoral duties at our sister church, Open Door, EPC in Atlanta Ga or while he is travelling abroad delivering the gospel to the lost. Her devotion to the work of the ministry is shown in her position as advisor to the Missionary Department and liaison to the Maintenance and Custodial Committee. She is also one of the teachers for the Adult Class in Sabbath School. In addition, she assists in the Jurisdictional Outreach Program for the State of Georgia.
Whether by demonic showdowns or natural confrontations, this Woman of God is relentless in her press to do the will of God. She knows that she is just a vessel willing to be used by Him - Philippians 2:7 “but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” She has been labeled “Paramount” and “Profound” but, her service to the Lord humbles her to evoke a mark for the Glory of God that cannot be erased!
